Why comprehensive labs come before any hormone or weight protocol
A comprehensive lab panel at Kairos is a goal-directed screen before hormone or medical weight-loss care. It is not a protocol, and a membership is not a prescription.

A comprehensive panel is a wider look before a plan, not the plan itself. At Kairos Rejuvenation in Hagerstown, hormone therapy and medical weight-loss pathways are considered only after history and labs when those labs are indicated. This article is educational only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe.
Fatigue, cycle change, low recovery, and weight that will not move can share a symptom list and still have different explanations. Thyroid markers, iron, glucose context, sleep, alcohol, and current medications can matter as much as a sex-hormone number. The comprehensive optimization panel on our lab menu is for people who may be considering more than one pathway. It is still chosen for the clinical question. It is not an infinite megapanel, and the exact markers are confirmed after a consult.
Care is physician-led under Dr. Kristina Torrence, a board-certified Medical Doctor. She reviews results in the context of symptoms and goals. When clinically appropriate, the next conversation may be hormone support, a supervised weight-management pathway, peptides, or lifestyle steps. When therapy should wait, or should not start, that is a completed evaluation. A single lab value is not a protocol.
Bloodwork membership is the published path for a recommended panel, clinician interpretation, and a follow-up cadence matched to your goals. Exact markers depend on clinical judgment. Medication is a separate decision and a separate bill when it is prescribed. Joining a membership never guarantees a prescription or a specific outcome.
Follow-up labs are different from the first screen. Monitoring panels track a plan that has already started, often on a cadence set in the visit. They do not replace the screening that should happen before testosterone, menopause hormone care, or a supervised compounded GLP pathway is even on the table. A compounded pathway, when prescribed, is discussed as its own product and is separate from brand-name medicines.
Eligible consults and results reviews may be available by telehealth in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, California, and Florida. Blood draws are arranged locally as directed. Procedures, injectables, devices, and IV visits stay in the Hagerstown clinic.
If you want the panel menu first, start with Lab diagnostics, then Bloodwork membership. Hormone therapy and medical weight loss explain how results can open a next step when they support one. Book a complimentary consult to talk through which questions your history actually raises. Individual results vary, and plans are personalized after clinical evaluation.
